The 708EP-AC switch provides 8 long-range PoE ports and can be paired with Proscend's 101EPI Ethernet Extenders to extend PoE data transmission and simultaneously power IP cameras or IoT devices at remote endpoints. Using existing UTP cabling, it enables quick setup without additional power installation, overcoming the standard 100-meter Ethernet limitation to reach distances up to 800 meters. The web-managed interface and built-in LFPT function offer agile and easy management, making it an optimized solution for digital upgrades.

Proscend's 8-port PoE Long Reach Switch 708EP-AC features Long Reach Ethernet pair and easily achieves 100Mbps Ethernet transmission over a 500-meter cable. The PoE power budget for powering a remote IP Camera is mostly over 10 watt, while a high-quality cable is used, the power budget easily achieves 20 watts or more.

Applications

Proscend's 8-port PoE Long Reach Switch 708EP-AC supports point-to-multipoint Long Reach PoE data and power transmission, installed at the network end and utilizing existing UTP cabling to connect up to eight Proscend's 101EPI Long-Range Ethernet Extenders. Each 101EPI extender supplies standard PoE to power remote IP network cameras. With a built-in power supply, the 708EP-AC switch is easily integrated into network distribution racks, helping users select the appropriate devices for designated operating conditions and environments. It extends network connectivity up to 800 meters, eliminating the need for additional power infrastructure and significantly reducing the high costs and risks associated with rewiring and installation. Through the Link Fault Pass Through (LFPT) function, administrators can remotely reboot IP cameras in real time to quickly resolve issues, enhancing operational efficiency.
