Proscend Ethernet-over-Coax Extenders 701CPI and 101CPI deliver data communications and power over coaxial cables up to 1000 meters. The 701CPI is designed to locate at network side where the 101CPI is located at the remote side. Without the needs of redundant long-distance power cabling, the 101CPI can receive power from the coaxial cable then offers 802.3at PoE for the powered devices such as IP cameras.
Ethernet-over-Coax Extenders
The Long Reach Ethernet Extenders 701CPI/101CPI work a pair via coaxial cable to easily achieve 100Mbps Ethernet transmission over a 500-meter cable. Once the cable length is longer the transmission rate drops to 10Mbps, the PoE power budget for powering a remote IP Camera is mostly over 10 watts, and the power budget easily achieves 20 watts or more when a high-quality cable is used.
Built-in LFPT Intelligence
The Ethernet-over-Coax Extenders 701CPI/101CPI are built-in LFPT (Link Fault Pass Through) function in each device. The network administrator enables to monitor the link status easily, or turn on and off an IP camera remotely from the control center for eliminating the maintenance time and cost.

The Ethernet-over-Coax Extenders 701CPI and 101CPI work as a pair of Ethernet-over-Coax Extenders that the 701CPI is the Master role and the 101CPI is the Remote role. Connectivity between the Master and Remote is as simple as regular Ethernet, an off-the-shelf AC-to-DC power supply powers the Master at 57VDC which is suggested to offer Passive PoE over a long-distance cable and then the Remote device offers standard PoE to power the IP camera.
