Proscend Announce Proudly The Availability Of 4-wire G.SHDSL.Bis Router 5220B/5221B
Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C. Oct 16, 2007 – PROSCEND Communications Inc today announced its new G.SHDSL.bis 4-wire Router family (5220B/5221B), which comply with G.991.2 (2004) standards. With optional feature of a built-in four port 10/100 Mbps auto-negotiation and auto-MDIX switching HUB based on SHDSL.bis technology, Proscend's new products, 5220B/5221B, provide an affordable, flexible, and efficient Internet access solution for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and SOHO users to reduce deployment and operational costs from service providers.
Complying with TCPAM32, 5220B/5221B G.SHDSL.bis 4-wireRouter is able to extend the longer distance at same data rate or higher date rate at same distance contrast to conventional G.SHDSL device (TCPAM16).
With bandwidth of up to 11.392Mbps(4-wire), the 5220B/5221B outperform both T1's at 1.544 Mbps and E1's at 2.048 Mbps by using the phone wires as the connection medium, the cost of purchasing, installing, and maintenance is reduced dramatically comparing with T1/E1. By embedded bridging and routing function, the 5220B/5221B router works as gateways from remote office to headquarter without expensive CSU/DSU peripherals and V.35 Cisco routers. Inter-LAN communication between separated two offices just needs one telephone pair and two 5220B/5221B routers.
Using existing telephone lines, the 5220B/5221B consolidate all traffic into a single high-speed trunk for Internet activities or sharing a corporate intranet, which is designed not only to optimize the service bit rate from central office to customer premises but also integrates high-end Routing capabilities with advanced functions such as Multi-DMZ, Stateful Packet Inspection(SPI) and VPN pass-through. By the powerful tools in the intuitive management user interface of the 5220B/5221B, networks administrators can complete a managed network deployment simply in seconds. more detail
